U s i n g a m i c r o m e t a r , m e a s u r e t h e d i s c t h i c k n e s s .
Standard thickness:
25.0 mm (0.984 in.i
Minimum thickness:
23.0 mm (0.906 in.)
Replace the disc if the thickness of the disc is at the
m i n i m u m t h i c k n e s s o r l e s s . R e p l a c e t h e d i s c o r g r i n d i t
on a laths if it is scor€d or is worn unevenlv.

Maximum disc tunout:
0.05 mm (0.0020 in.,
lf runout greatsr than maximum, attempt to adjust to
b e l o w t h i s m a x i m u m f i g u r e .
HINT: Before measuring the runout, confirm that the
front bearing play is within specification.

(a) Remove the torque plate from the knuckle.
( b ) R e m o v e t h e 5 h u b n u t s a n d t h e d i s c . R e i n s t a l l t h e d i s c
1/5 of a turn round from its original position on the
h u b . I n s t a l l a n d t o r q u e t h e 5 h u b n u t s .
Torque: 103 N.m (1,050 kgf.cm, 76 ft.lbf)
Remeasure the disc runout. Make a note of the runour
and the disc's position on the hub.
(c) Repear (b) until the disc has been installed on the 3
r e m a i n i n g h u b p o s i t i o n .
( d ) l f t h e m i n i m u m r u n o u t r e c o r d e d i n ( b ) a n d ( c ) i s l e s s
than 0.05 mm (0.0020 in.), install the disc in that
postflon.
(e) lf the minimum runout recorded in (b) and (c) is greater
than 0.05 mm (0.0020 in.), replace the disc and repeat
stop 3.
(0 Install the torque plato and torque the mounting
Torque: 1 07 N.m (1 ,090 kgf.cm, 79 ft.lbf)
