BRAKE SYSTEM _ ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS)

ABS RELAY INSPECTION
1. INSPECT CONTINUITY OF MOTOR RELAY CIRCUIT
(a) Check that there is no continuity between terminals l
and 2.
(b) Check that there is continuity bstween terminals 3
and 4.
lf continuity is not as specified, replace the relay.
INSPECT OPERATION OF MOTOR RELAY CIRCUIT
Connect th6 positivo (*) lead from ths battory to
terminal 3 and negative (-) lead to terminal 4.
Check that th6re is continuitv between t€rminals 1
and 2.
lf operation is not as specified, replace the relay.
3. INSPECT CONTINUITY OF SOLENOID RELAY CIR-
C U I T
(a) Check that thero is no continuity b6tw6en terminals 1
a n d 3 .
(b) Check that there is continuity betweon t6rminals 2
and 3.
(c) Check that there is continuity botw€on terminals 4
a n d 6 .
4. INSPECT OPERATION OF SOLENOID RELAY CIR.
C U I T
(a) Connect th6 positivo (+) lead from the battery to
terminal 4 and negative (-) lead to t€rminal 6.
(b) Check that thsrs is continuity b€tw6€n term inals 1
a n d 3 .
(c) Check that there is no continuity betwe€n terminals 2
a n d 3 .
lf operation is not as specified, r6place the rolay.
