(d) Place the voltmeter positive (*) lead against the def-
o g g e r p o s i t i v e ( + ) t e r m a n a l .
Place the voltmoter negativ€ (-) lead with the foil
strip against tha heat wire at the positive (* ) terminal
e n d a n d s l i d e i t t o w a r d t h e n e g a t i v o ( - ) t e r m i n a l e n d .
The ooint where the voltm€t€r deflects from zero to
several V is the olace where the heat wire is broken.
HINT: lf the hsat wire is not broken, the voltmetor
i n d i c a t e s 0 V a t t h e p o s i t i v e ( * ) e n d o f t h e h s a t w i r e
b u t g r a d u a l l y i n c r e a s e s t o a b o u t 1 2 V a s t h 6 m e t e r

(a) Clean the broken wire tips with a
silico ne ramover.
(b) Place th6 masking tape along both sides of the wire to
be repaired.
(c) Thoroughly mix the repair agent (DuPont paste No,
4817).
(d) Using a fine tip brush, apply a small amount to ths
wire.
(e) Aftor a f6w minutgs, romovo tho masking tape.
(f) Allow the repair to stand at least 24 hours.
