BODY ELECTRICAL SYSTEM _ POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM
P O W E R W I N D O W M O T O R I N S P E C T I O N
INSPECT DRIVER'S SIDE POWER WINDOW MOTOR
OPERATION
Connect tho positive (+) lead from the battery to
t e r m i n a l 1 a n d t h s n e g a t i v e ( - ) l e a d t o t e r m i n a l 2 .
check that the motor turns clockwise.
(b) Reverse the polarity, check that tho motor turns coun-
terclockwise.
lf operation is not as specified, replace the motor.
2 . I N S P E C T D R I V E R ' S S I D E P T C T H E R M I S T O R O P E R -
A T I O N
(a) Disconnect th6 connector from the master switch.
(b) Connect ths positive (*) lead from the ammetsr to
tsrminal 6(9) on the wirs harness side connsctor and
ths negative (-) lead to negative terminal of the
batt6ry.
(c) Connoct the positive (+) lead from the battery to
terminal 8(7) on the wire harness side connector, and
raise the window to the fully closed position.
(d) Continue to apply voltage, check that th6 curront
c h a n g e s f r o m a p p r o x i m a t e l y 1 4 A t o l e s s t h a n 1 A
w i t h i n 4 t o 9 0 s e c o n d s .
(e) Disconnect the leads from terminals.
(f) Approximately 90 seconds later, connect the positive
(+) lead f rom the battery to terminal 6(9) and nsgativ€
(-) lead to terminal 8(8), check that tha window
beg ins to descend.
