STEERING - POWER STEERING
1 9 . I N S T A L L T I E R O D E N D S A N D L O C K N U T S
(a) Screw th6 lock nut and ti6 rod end onto the rack end
until the matchmarks are aligned,
(b) Adjust the dimensions.
(See page SR - 77)
(c) Torque the nut.
Torque: 56 N.m (570 kgf.cm,41 ft.lbf)
20. INSTALL 2 TURN PRESSURE TUBES
(a) Install 2 new union seats to the rack housing.
(b) Using SST, insrall th6 tube.

Torque: l9 N.m (195 kgf .cm, 14 ft.lbf)
HINT: Use a torquo wrench with a fulcrum length of
250 mm (9.84 in.).

Using SST, install th€ tuoe.

Torque:36 N.m (365 kgf.cm,26 ft.lbf)
