BRAKE SYSTEM - REAR BRAKE(Disc Brake)

INSTALL PAD SUPPORT PLATES
Install the 2 pad support plates.
7.
INSTALL NEW PADS
HINT: lf a brake pad needs replacing, the rear brake
pads must be replaced as a set.
(a) Apply disc brake grease to both sides of the inner anti
- s q u e a l s h i m .
( b ) I n s t a l l t h e 2 a n t i - s q u e a l s h i m s t o t h a o u t s i d o p a d .
( c ) I n s t a l l t h e a n t i - s q u e a l s h r m t o t h o i n s i d e p a d .
(d) Install 2 pads with the pad waar indicator plate facing
downward.
NOTICE: There rhould be no oil or groa3e adhering to the
triction rurflcas of thc padr oi the disc.
8.
INSTALL CALIPER
(a) Draw out a small amount of brake fluid from the
reservoir.
(b) Pr6ss in the piston with a hammar handle or an equiv-
a l6 nt,
HINT: lf the piston is difficult to push in, loosen the
bleeder plug and push in th6 piston while letting some
bra ke fluid escape.
(c) Install the caliper and torque the installation bolt.
Torquc: 20 N.m (200 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf)
