SUSPENSION AND AXLE _ REAR SUSPENSION
REAR SHOCK ABSORBER REMOVAL
1 . J A C K U P V E H I C L E A N D R E M O V E R E A R W H E E L
2. DISCONNECT ABS SPEED SENSOR WIRE (w/ ABS)
AND BRAKE HOSE FROM SHOCK ABSORBER
3. DISCONNECT STABILIZER BAR LINK
Remove the nut and disconnect th6 stabilizer bar linK
f rom shock absorber.
HINT: lf the balljoint siud turns together with the nut,
use a hexagon wrench to hold th6 stud.
4.
REMOVE SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING
(a) Loosen the 2 nuts on lower side of the shock ab-
sorber.
HINT: Do not remov€ the bolts.
(b) Support the r€ar axle carrier wirh a jack.
