INSTALL MAIN SHAFT BUSHING
Using SST, press the bushing into the tubo.

INSTALL COLUMN UPPER BBACKET AND
COLUMN UPPER CLAMP
(a) Securo the column tubo in a vise'
I{OTICE: Do not tighten the visc too tight.
(b) Tighten 2 new tapered-head bolts until ths bolt head
breaks off.
5.
INSTALL COLUMN PROTECTOR
Torqu6 th€ bolt.

INSTALL If{TERMEDIATE SHAFT
(a) Align the matchmarks on ths intermsdiats shaft and
control valvo shaft, and install the shaft.
(b) Torque the bolt.
Torquc: 35 I{.m (360 kgf .cm' 26 ft'lbf}
