WHEEL PAD OISPOSAL

When scrapping a vehicle equipped with an suffii8-
mental rsstraint syst€m or disposing of a ste€ring
wheel pad (with airbag), always first r6mov€ the ste6r-
ing wheel pad from the vehicle and deploy the SRS in
accordance with th6 orocedure described below.
lf any abnormality occurs with th€ SRS deployment,
CONIACt tho SERVICE DEPT. Of tho DISTRIBUTOR.
Never dispose of a vehicle or steoring wh€el pad
which has an undeployed SRS.
P R E C A U T I O N S FOR AIRBAG DISPOSAL
1 . Deploy the SRS in a safe place outdoors, on a llat
concrototret.
lf tho lt.oring wheel pad is going to be 3tored,
rlways placo th6 pad facing upwards.
After the 3onlor lock it released, handlo tho st6er-
ing wheel pad with great care.
Always !t.nd at lealt 5 m (16 ft) away from the SRS
when deploying it.
The inllator inside the rteering wheel pad becomes
very hot whon th6 SRS ir deployed, so lllow it to
cool for 30 minuter lftor tho SRS ir deployed. Never
apply wlter to tho inflrtor or deployed SRS,
When handling tho deployed SRS, wear 3af6ty gla-
!re3 and glover.
Put thc deployed SRS in a vinyl b!9, loal tho bag
tightly and dirpore of it ar indugtrial watte.
Alwayr wash your h!nd! with water aftor complet-
ing dirporal of tha SRS.
