(a) After repair of the trouble ar€a, lho diagnostic code
r e t a i n e d i n m e m o r y b y t h e E n g i n e a n d E C T E C U m u s t
b e c a n c e l e d b y r e m o v i n g t h e E F I f u s e ( 1 5 A ) f o r 1 0
s a c o n d s o r m o r s , d e p e n d i n g o n a m b i e n t t e m p e r a t u r o
(the lower the temporature, the longer the fuse must
be left out) with tho ignition switch OFF.

C a n c e l l a t i o n c a n b e a l s o d o n e b y r e m o v i n g t h e
battory nogative (-) terminal, but in this case
other m6mory systoms will be also canceled out.

Th6 diagnostic code can be also canceled out by
d i s c o n n e c t i n g t h e E n g i n e a n d E C T E C U c o n n e c -
to r.

lf the diagnostic code is not canceled out, it will
be retained by the Engine and ECT ECU and
appear along with a new code in the event of
f u t u r e t r o u b l e .
(b) After cancsllation, perform a road test to confirm thar
a "normal code' is now rsad on tho O/D OFF light.
