PLATE
(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the snap ring.
( b ) R e m o v e t h e 2 O - r i n 9 s f r o m t h e p l a t e .
(c) Secure th€ plats in a vise.
NOTICE:

Place shop rags between th9 viso and tho plate.

Do not tighten the viso too tight.
(d) Using pliers with vinyl tape wound around the jaw
ends, remove the shorter straight pin from the plate.

Using a micrometer and caliper gauga, measure the oil
clearance.
S t a n d a r d c l e a r a n c e :
0.01 -0.03 mm (0.0004-0.0012 in.)
M a x i m u m c l e a r a n c e :
0.07 mm (0.0028 in.)
