STEERING - STEERING COLUMN
5. IF NECESSARY, REPLACE IGNITION SWITCH
(a) Remove the 2 screws.
(b) Tighten the 2 screws.
6 . I N S P E C T C O L U M N T U B E B E A R I N G
Check the bearing rotation condition and check for
a bnormal noise,
lf the bearing is worn or damaged, replace the column
t u b e .

2. INSTALL MAIN SHAFT ASSEMBLY
(a) Secure the shaft assembly in a vise.
NOTICE: Do not tighton tho vise too tight.
(b) Using snap ring pliers, install a new snap ring.
(c) Install tha shaft assembly to the column tube.
Secure the column tubo in a vise.
NOTICE: Do not tlghtcn tho viso too tight,
Using snap ring pliers, install a new snap ring.
