INSPECT 3 RD AND 4 TH GEAR RADIAL CLEAR.

Using a dial indicator, msasur€ the radial clearance
between the gear and shaft.

REMOVE SNAP RING
Using 2 screwdrivers and a hammer, tap out the snap
r i n g .

REMOVE REAR BALL BEARING, 4 TH GEAR,
NEEDLE ROLLER BEARINGS, SPACER AND SYNCH-
R O N I Z E R R I N G F R O M I N P U T S H A F T
(a) Using SST and a press, removo ths rear ball bearing.

(b) Remove the 4th g€ar. needle roller bearings, spacer
and synchronizer ring.
