HINT: Since th€ centering bolt is used the back door
side hinge bolt, th€ back door cannot bs adjust6d wtth
it on. Substitute the standard bolt for the centsrino
bo lt.
1. ADJUST DOOR IN HORIZONTAL DIRECTION
Adjust tho door by loosening the back door side hinge
bolts.
T o r q u e : 1 4 N . m ( 1 4 5 k g f . c m , 1 1 f t . l b f )
2. ADJUST DOOR IN VERTICAL DIRECTION
(a) Remove th6 roof headlining.(See
pages BO-68 ro BO

(b) Loosen the body side hing6 nuts and adjust the door
by increasing or decreasing the number of the shims.
T o r q u e : 2 1 N . m ( 2 1 0 k g f . c m , 1 5 f t . l b f )
(c) Reinstall the removed parts in tho reverse order to
their removal.
ADJUST DOOR LOCK
Remove th€ dock trim rear cover.
Adjust th6 lock position by slightly loosening the lock
mounting bolts, and hitting the lock with a hammer
and brass bar.
CAUTION: Oo not tap the lock too hard.
Torque: 1 9 N.m (195 kgf .cm, 14 ft.lbf)
Install the deck trim rsar cover.
