BRAKE SYSTEM _ CHECK AND ADJUSTMENT
BRAKE SYSTEM BLEEDlNG
HINT: lf anv work is done on the brake system or if atr
in the brake lines is suspected, bleed the systsm of aar.
NOTICE: Do not let brake fluid remain on a paintod sur-
faca. Wash it otf immediataly.

BLEED MASTER CYLINDER
H I N T : l f t h e m a s t e r c y l i n d o r h a s b e e n d i s a s s e m b l e d o r
if the reservoir becomes empty, bl6€d the air from the
master cylindor.
{a) Disconnact the brake lines from the master cylinder.
(b) Slowly depress tho brake pedal and hold it.
(c) Block off the outlet plug with your finger and rslease
the brake oedal.
(d) Repeat (b) and (c) 3 or 4 times.

B L E E D B R A K E L I N E
(a) Connect the vinyl tube to the caliper.
(b) Depress the braka pedal several timss, then loosen
the bleeder plug with the pedal held down.
(c) At the point when fluid stops coming out, tightsn the
bleeder plug, thsn r€l€ass ths brake psdal.
(d) Repeat (b) and (c) until all the air in the fluid has been
blad out.
(e) Repeat the above proceduro to bleed tho air out of the
b r a k e l i n e f o r e a c h w h e e l .
HINT: Start bleedrng from the caliper the farthest
awav from th€ master cylinder and finish at tho clo-
sest.
