INSPECTION
1 . I N S P E C T B R A K E F L U I D L E V E L W A R N I N G S W I T C H
(a) Remove the reservoir tank cap and strainer.
(b) Disconnect the con nector.
(c) Chsck that thors is no continuity batwe€n terminals
with the switch OFF (float up).
(d) Use syphon, etc. to take fluid out of the res6rvoir tank.
(e) Check that there is continuity between torminals with
th€ switch ON (float down).
(f)
Pour the fluid back in the roservoir tank.
lf operation is not as specified, replace the switch.
2, INSPECT BRAKE WARNING LIGHT
(a) Disconnect the connector from the brake fluid warn-
ing switch.
(b) Release the parking brake lever.
(c) Connect terminals on the wir6 harness srde of the
level warning switch conn6ctor.
(d) Srart th€ engine, check that th6 warning light lights
u p .
lf the warning light doss not lighr up. t€st the bulb or
wire ha rnass.
PARKING BRAKE SWITCH INSPECTION
1. INSPECT PARKING BRAKE SWITCH
(a) Check that ther6 is continuity between terminal and
switch body with the switch ON (switch pin released).
(b) Check that ther6 is no continuity betweon terminai
and switch body with tha switch OFF (switch pin
pushed in).
lf operation is not as specified. replace the switch or
inspect ground point.
2, INSPECT BRAKE WARNING LIGHT
(a) Disconnect the connector from th€ parking brake
switch and the brake fluid warning switch.
(b) Ground terminal on the wire harness side conn6ctor.
(c) Start the engine, check that the warning light lights
u p .
lf the warning light does not light up, test the bulb or
insoect wire ha rn6ss.
