BRAKE sYsTEM - REAR BRAKE(parking Brake for Rear Disc Brake)

8. INSTALL DISC
(a) Before installing, polish the disc and shoe surfaces
with sand oa Der.
(b) Align tha hola on the rear axle hub and service hole on
th6 disc.
9. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE
(a) Temporarily install the hub nuts.
(b) Remove th6 hole plug.
(c) Turn the adjust6r and expand the shoes until th6 disc
loc ks.
(d) Return the adjuster 8 notches.
( e ) I n s t a l l t h o h o l e p l u g .
10. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE ASSEMBLY
Install th6 disc brake assembly and torque the 2 mou-
nting bolts.
Torque:47 N.m (475 kgf.cm,34 ft.lbf)

(a) Drive the vehicle at about 50 kmlh (31 mph) on a sate,
level and dry road.
(b) With the parking brake release button pushed in, pull
on the lever with 98 N (10 kgf, 19.8 lbf) of force.
(c) Drive ths vehicle for about 400 meters (0.25 mile) in
this con d itio n.
(d) Repeat this procedure 2 or 3 times.
