INSPECT FLOW CONTROL VALVE
(a) Coat the valve with pow€r steering fluid and check
that it falls smoothlv into ths valve hole of the front
housing by its own weight.
(b) Check the valve for leakage. Close one of the holes
a n d a p p l y c o m p r o s s e d a i r [ 3 9 2 - 4 9 0 k P a ( 4 - 5 k g f , /
cm' ,57 -71 psi)l into the opposite side, and confirm
that air doss not come out from the end hole.
lf necessary, replace the valve with one having the
sam6 letter as inscribed on ths front housing.
