BODY ELECTRICAL SYSTEM _ POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM

MOTOR OPERATION
Connect the positive (*) lead from the battery to
t e r m i n a l 1 a n d t h e n e g a t i v € ( - ) l e a d t o t e r m i n a l 2 ,
check that the motor turns clockwise.
(b) Reverss the polarity, check that tha motor turns coun-
terclockwise.
lf operation is not as specified. replace the motor.

INSPECT PASSENGER'S SIDE PTC THERMISTER
OPERATION

{a) Disconnect tho connsctor from the powar wlndow
BE i
swrtch.
(b) Connect the positive (*) lead from tha ammeter to
terminal 3 on the wire harness side connector and the
negative (-) lead to negative terminal of the battery.
(c) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to
terminal 1 on the wire harness sids connector, and
raise the window to the fully closed position.
(d) Continue to apply voltage, check that the current
changes from approximately 14 A to l6ss than 1 A
within 4 to 90 seconds.
( e ) D i s c o n n e c t t h e l e a d s f r o m t h e t € r m i n a l s .
(f) Approximately 90 seconds later. connect the positive
(*) lead from the battery to terminal 3 and tha nega-
t i v e { - ) l e a d t o t e r m i n a l 1 . c h e c k t h a t t h a w i n d o w
begins to descend.
