OUTPUT SHAFT ASSEMBLY

HINT: Coat all of the slid ing and rotating surfaces with
gear oil before assem bly.

( a ) I n s t a l l t h s c l u t c h h u b a n d s h i f t i n g k e y s r o t h e h u b
sleeve.
( b ) I n s t a l l t h 6 s h i f t i n g k e y s p r i n g s u n d e r t h e s h i f r i n g k e y s .
I{OTICE: Install the key aprings positionod so that thoir
ends are not in line.

OUTPUT SHAFT
(a) Apply MP greas6 to ths needle rollar bearing.
( b ) l n s t a l l t h e I s t g e a r .
(c) Placo the synchronizer ring (for 1st gear) on the gaar
and align tha ring slots with the shifting keys.
( d ) U s i n g S S T a n d a p r e s s , i n s t a l l t h e l s t g e a r a n d N o . 1
hub sleeve.

( a ) S e l e c t a s n a p r i n g t h a t w i l l a l l o w m i n i m u m a x i a l p l a y .
(b) Using a snap ring expander, install th6 snap ring.
