7, INSTALL NEW PADS
HINT: lf a brake pad needs replacing, the front brake
pads must be replaced as a set.
(a) Install the pad wear indicator plate on a new pad.
(b) Apply disc brake greas6 to both sides of the inner anti
- s q u e a l s h i m .
( c ) I n s t a l l t h e 2 a n t i - s q u e a l s h i m s o n e a c h p a d .
(d) Install insido pad with the pad wear indicator plate
f ac ing upward.
(e) Install outsids pad.
NOTICE: Therc should be no oil or grease adhering to the
friction surfacor of the padr or the disc.
( f ) I n s t a l l t h e 2 a n t i - s q u e a l s p r i n g s t o t h e p a d s .

I N S T A L L C A L I P E R
(a) Draw out a small amount of brake fluid from the
r€servorr tank.
(b) Press in the pistons with a hammer handle or an
eourva lent.
HINT: lf th6 pistons are difficult to push in, loosen the
bleeder plug and push in the pistons while letting
some brake fluid esca pe.
(c) Insta ll the caliper.
(d) Hold the sliding pin and torque ths installation bolts
Torque: 34 N.m (350 kgf'cm. 25 ft'lbf)
