INSPECT 1ST GEAR THRUST CLEARANCE
Using a feelar gauge, measure tho 1st gear thrust
c learan ce.
Standard clearance:
0.10 - 0.40 mm (0.0039-0.0157 in.)

INSTALL SYNCHRONIZER RING, SPACER' NEEDLE

GEAR
(a) Place th€ synchronizer ring on the gear and align the
clutch hub grooves with tho projections on the syn-
c hron izer ring.
(b) Install ths spacor.
(c) Apply gear oil to the needle roller bearing.
(d) Install the 2nd gear.
(e) Using a press, insrall ths 3rd driven gear.
