2, REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB
(See page SA- 134)
3. DISCONNECT BACKING PLATE FROM REAR AXLE
CARRIER
(a) Disconnect the backing plate from rear axle carrier.
(b) Support the backing plate securely.

w,/ ABS:
DISCONNECT ABS SPEED SENSOR
Disconnect the ABS speed sensor from rear axle car-
rier.
5. REMOVE REAR AXLE CARRIER
(a) Remove ths bolt and nut and disconnect the strut rod
from the rear axle carrier.
(b) Remove the 2 nuts from shock absorber lower set
bolts.
HINT: Do not remov6 the bolts.
(c) Remove the bolt, nut and disconnect the lower sus-
oension arms from axle carrier.
(d) Pull out the 2 bolts from the shock absorber ano
remove rear axle carrier
REAR AXLE CARRIER INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL REAR AXLE CARRIER
(a) Temporarily connect th6 lowor suspension arms to
the axle carrier with the bolt and nut.
(b) Temporarily connect the shock absorber io th6 axlo
carrier with the 2 bolts and nuts.
