1 0 . I N S T A L L R E A R H O U S I N G
(a) Coat a new O - ring with power steering f Iuid.
( b ) l n s t a l l t h e O - r i n g t o t h e h o u s i n g .
(c) Using a plastic hammer. tap in the housing.
(d) Install a new snap ring.
1 1 . M E A S U R E V A N E P U M P S H A F T R O T A T I N G
TOROUE
(a) Using a torque meter, check that the shaft rotates
s m o o t h l v w i t h o u t a b n o r m a l n o i s e .
(b) Temporarily install the vans pump pulley sst nut, and
check the rotating torque with a torqus m6ter.
Rotating torque:
0.3 N.m (2.8 kgl.cm,2.4 in..lbf) or less
12. INSTALL SPRING AND FLOW CONTROL VALVE
13. INSTALL PRESSURE PORT UNION
(a) Coat a new O - ring with power steering f luid.
(b) lnstall the O-ring to th€ unron.
(c) Torque the union.
Torque: 69 N.m (700 kgf.cm.51 ft.lbf)
14. INSTALL PRESSURE FEED NO.2 TUBE
Torque the union bolt over 2 new gaskets.
