(a) Remove the bolt.
(b) Shift the s haft.
(c) Place matchmarks on the intermodiats shaft and main
shaft.
(d) Rsmovg the shaft.

COLUMN UPPER CLAMP
(a) Secure the steering column assembly in a vise'
NOTICE: Do not tighten the vise too tight.
(b) Using a contsring punch, mark the center of ths 2
ta pered - head bolts.
( c ) U s i n g a 4 - 5 m m ( 0 . 1 6 - 0 . 2 0 i n . ) d r i l l , d r i l l i n t o t h e
2 bolts.
(d) Using a screw extractor. remove the 2 bolts.

R E M O V E C O M P R E S S I O N S P R I N G
(a) Using a torx socket wrsnch. remove the torx bolt.
( b ) R e m o v e t h s s p r i n g a n d 2 b u s h i n g s f r o m t h e s p r i n g
