3. TEMPORARILY INSTALL BOOTS AND DAMPER
(w,/ DYNAMIC DAMPER)
HINT: Before installing the outboard joint boot, wrap
vinyl tape around the spline of the drive shaft to
prevent damaging the boots and damper.

( a ) U s i n g a s n a p r i n g e x p a n d e r , i n s t a l l a n e w s n a p r i n g .
(b) Place the beveled side of the tripod jornt axial spline
toward the outboard joint.
(c) Align the matchmarks placed before removal.
( d ) U s i n g a b r a s s b a r a n d h a m m e r , t a p i n t h 6 t r i p o d j o i n t
to the drivs s haft.
NOTICE: Do not t8p the roller.
