(c) Using a brass bar and hammer, tap in tho driv€ shaft
until it makss contact with the pinion shaft.
H I N T :

Beforo installing ths drivs shaft, set ths snap ring
opening side facing downward.

Whether or not the drive shaft is making contact
with the oinion shaft can be known by the sound
or feeling when driving it in.
2.
CHECK INSTALLATION OF LH DRIVE SHAFT
( a ) C h s c k r h a t t h a r s i s 2 - 3 m m ( 0 . 0 8 - 0 1 2 i n . ) o f p l a v i n
the axial d irection.
(b) Check that ths drive shaft will not come out by trying
to pull it comPletely out bY hand.
3.
INSTALL RH DRIVE SHAFT
(a) Coat gear oil to the inboard joint tulip and differential
case sliding s u rface.
(b) Install the contar drivo shaft with the RH drivs shaft to
the transaxle through the bearing bracket.
NOTICE: Do not damage tha oil real lip.
(c) Install the 2 bolts and tighten tham.
Torqua: 64 N.m (650 kgf'cm,47 ft'lbf)
CONNECT DRIVE SHAFT TO AXLE HUB
lnstall th6 outboard joint side of the drive shaft to the
axle hub.
NOTICE: Be careful not to drmage the inner oil real,
bootr and ABS apoed 3en3or ?otor.
CONNECT LOWER BALL JOINT TO LOWER SUS.
PENSION ARM
Connect the lower ball joint to lower arm and tighten
th6 bolt and 2 nuts.
Torque: 1 27 N'm (1,300 ksf'cm, 94 ft lbf)
