21. Remove the engine m o u n t bracket.
22. Remove the idler pulley bolt (A) and idler pulley (B),
then remove the t i m i n g belt.
T i m i n g B e l t I n s t a l l a t i o n
NOTE: The f o l l o w i n g procedure is for installing a used
belt. If y o u are installing a new belt, refer to the t i m i n g
belt replacement procedure (see page 6-24).
1. Clean the t i m i n g belt pulleys, t i m i n g belt guide
plate, and the upper and lower covers.
2. Set the t i m i n g belt drive pulley to t o p dead center
(TDC) by aligning the TDC mark (A) on the tooth of
the t i m i n g belt drive pulley with the pointer (B) on
the oil p u m p .
