Reassembly
Installthe damper unit on a spring compressor.
NOTE: Followthe manufacturer's instructions.
Assemble the damper in reverse order of disassem-
bly except the damper mounting washer and self-
locking nut.
N O T E : A l i g n t h e b o t t o m o f d a m p e r s p r i n g a n d
spring lower seat as shown.
Position the damper mounting base on the damper
unit as shown.

Compress the damper spring with the spring com-
pressor.
l n s t a l l t h e d a m p e r m o u n t i n g w a s h e r , a n d l o o s e l y
install a new self-locking nut.
Hold the damper shaft with a hex wrench and tight-
en the self-locking nut.
SELF.LOCKING NUT
10 x 1.25 mm
29 N.m (3.0 kstm.22 lbl.ft)
Replace.
