Overhaul
Pull out the A,/C thermostat sensor from the evapo-
rator fins.

Remove the self-tapping screws and clamps from
t h e h o u s i n g .
3 . C a r e f u l l y s e p a r a t e t h e h o u s i n g s a n d r e m o v e t h e
evaporator.

lf necessary. remove the expansion valve.
N O T E : W h e n l o o s e n i n g t h e e x p a n s i o n v a l v e n u t s ,
use a second wrench to hold the expansion valve or
evaporator pipe. Otherwise, they can be damaged.
A s s e m b l e i n t h e r e v e r s e o r d e r o f d i s a s s e m b l y .
Make note ot these items:
Replace the O-rings with new ones at each fit-
ting, and apply a thin cost of retrigerant oil (ND-
OIL 8: P/N 38897 - PR7 - A01AH or 38899 - PR7 -
A01) before installing them.
NOTE: Be sure to use the right O-rings for HFC-
134a (R-134a) to avoid leakage.
I n s t a l l t h e e x p a n s i o n v a l v e c a p i l l a r y t u b e w i t h
the capillary tube in contact with the suction line
directly, and wrap it with tape.
Reinstall the Ay'C thermostat sensor to its original
location.
TAPE
Replace.
Make sure there is no foreign matter stuck between
