Pressure Relief
Pressure outside of the metering orifice is directed to
the bonom of the flow control valve. When the pressure
builds up, the relief valve in the flow control valve opens
t o r e l i e v e t h e p r e s s u r e . A s t h e f l o w c o n t r o l v a l v e i s
p u s h e d b a c k b y t h e p r e s s u r e d i f f e r e n c e t h i s t i m e . t h e
flow of fluid in the bypass passage increases, controlling
t h e p r e s s u r e o u t s i d e t h e m e t e r i n g o r i f i c e . T h e a b o v e
operatrons are repeated to provide constant discharae
pressure from the pump.
