Fan alarms testing in an OPM

Remove power from one of the environmental control units (ECU).
Note: Set up a phone link with the host office at a MAP terminal to monitor
the alarms this procedure generates.
Verify the MAP display produces an ECU alarm.
If an alarm
generates
does not generate
Clean the blades of the fans.
Return power to the ECU where power was removed in step 1.
Verify all fans turn smoothly.
If the fans
run smoothly
are noisy or obviously not run-
ning correctly
Verify the alarm step 1 generates is clear.
If the alarm
clears
does not clear
Remove the fuse from the booster fan unit (BFU).
Verify that the MAP display generates an alarm.
If an alarm
generates
does not generate
Replace the fuse in the BFU.
Verify that the alarm step 7 generates is clear.
If the alarm
clears
Do
