DANGER
Card damage—transport
Take these precautions to protect the circuit cards from
electrical and mechanical damage during
transportation:When handling a circuit card not in an
electrostatic discharge (ESD) protective container, stand on a
conductive floor mat and wear a wrist strap connected,
through a 1-megohm resistor, to a suitably grounded object,
such as a metal workbench or a DMS frame (Northern
Telecom Corporate Standard 5028).Store and transport
circuit cards in an ESD protective container.
DANGER
Static electricity damage
Before removing any cards, put on a wrist strap and connect
it to the wrist strap grounding point on the left side of the
frame supervisory panel of the LCM. This protects the
equipment against damage caused by static electricity.
DANGER
Equipment damage
Take these precautions when removing or inserting a card:1.
Do not apply direct pressure to the components.
2. Do not force the cards into the slots.
Put on a wrist strap.
Remove the NT6X53 card as shown in the following figures.

Locate the card to be removed on the appropriate shelf.
