Crankshaft Removal
Remove the main bearing c a p s and bearings.
The bearing c a p s are numbered 1 through 5
front to rear.

Remove the crankshaft and upper bearing in-
serts. Inspect the crankshaft for scoring. C h e c k
the bearings for normal wear patterns, scoring,
grooving, fatigue and pitting. Replace any bear-
ing that s h o w s abnormal wear.
