Adjusting the play
Use this procedure to adjust the play of the motor. The figures show adjustment
of the axis-4 motor, but the method is also the same for the axis-5 and axis-6
motors.

Turn off all:
electric power supply
hydraulic pressure supply
air pressure supply
to the robot, before entering the robot
working area.
Before fitting the motor, look into the hole
to find the position of the gear. When ad-
justing to the correct play, the motor pinion
is pressed against the gear. How to do this
is detailed further on in this procedure.
CAUTION
Whenever parting/mating motor and gear-
box, the gears may be damaged if excess-
ive force is used!
Place the motor carefully in the hole without
damaging the gear or pinion. Put the attach-
ment screws in the holes on the motor and
fit them a few revolutions. Do not tighten
the attachment screws yet!
