Definitions:
The configuration of the motor measuring system for an SSI encoder is incorrect: MD 5028
$MD_NO_TRANSMISSION_BITS (SSI frame length) is smaller than the number of all parameterized
bits in MD 5021 $MD_ENC_ABS_TURNS_MOTOR (multiturn), MD 5022
$MD_ENC_ABS_RESOL_MOTOR (singleturn) and MD 5027 $MD_ENC_CONFIG bit 14 (alarm bit)
and MD 5027 $MD_ENC_CONFIG bit 12 (parity bit).
Reaction:
Mode group not ready.
Channel not ready.
NC Start disable in this channel.
Interface signals are set.
Alarm display.
NC Stop on alarm.
Remedy:
Set parameters correctly for all associated machine data:
- MD 5028 $MD_NO_TRANSMISSION_BITS (SSI frame length): number of bits in an SSI protocol,
including all bits, such as alarm bit/parity bit
- MD 5021 $MD_ENC_ABS_TURNS_MOTOR (ultiturn): number of resolvable revolutions
- MD 5022 $MD_ENC_ABS_RESOL_MOTOR (singleturn): number of increments per revolution
- MD 5027.Bit 12 $MD_ENC_CONFIG.Bit 12: parity bit
- MD 5027.Bit 14 $MD_ENC_CONFIG.Bit 14: alarm bit
Example:
SSI encoder with 25 bits message frame length, 12 bits multiturn, 12 bits singleturn, one alarm bit:
- $MD_NO_TRANSMISSION_BITS = 25
- $MD_ENC_ABS_TURNS_MOTOR = 4096
- $MD_ENC_ABS_RESOL_MOTOR = 4096
- $MD_ENC_CONFIG.Bit 14 = 1
- $MD_ENC_CONFIG.Bit 12 = 0
