Examples
The following example shows values for the primary and backup NTP servers. The primary server is marked with an
asterisk (*) and the backup server is marked with an equals sign (=). Note that a backup server will not display delay,
offset or dispersion data, as it is not currently in use.

Description
IP address of the remote NTP server defined using the cli command
IP address of the local clock.
NTP uses hierarchical levels of clock sources, or strata, and assigns each layer a number starting with
zero at the root. The st column in the output of this command represents the number of servers between the
configured NTP server and the root reference clock.
Interval, in seconds, between the local NTP server's attempt to poll the remote NTP server.
An index that measures whether or not the remote NTP server could be reached at eight most recent
polling intervals. If the NTP server has just been configured and hasn't yet been polled successfully, the
value will be zero (0). A value of 377 indicates that the last eight poll queries were successful.
Delay, in seconds, between the time that the local clock polls the NTP server and the NTP server returns a
reply.
The difference in time, in seconds, between the local clock and the NTP server.
Dispersion represents the maximum error of the local clock relative to the reference clock, and is a
measurement of the time server and network quality. Lower dispersion values are preferred over higher
dispersion values.
