Remove the clutch outer guide, oi l pump drive
sprocket, driven sprocket and drive chain as an
assembly.
Remove the collar from the mainshaft.
INSPECTION
Clutch lifter bearing
Turn the i nner race o f t he lifte r bearing with your
f i nger.
The bearing sho uld turn smoothly and q uietly.
Also check that the o uter race of t he bearing fits
t ightly in the pressu re plate.
Replace t he bea ring if the inner race does not turn
smoothly, quietly, or if the outer race fit loosely in
the pressure plate.
Clutch lifter rod
Check t he clutch lifter rod for wear and true.
