STARTER VALVE SYNCHRONIZATION
•
Synchronize the starter valve with the engine at
the normal operating temperature and with
the
transmission
in
neutral.
•
Use
a tachometer with graduations
of 50 rpm
or
smaller
that
will accurately indicate
50
rpm
change.
Remove the air cleaner housing
{page
5-60).
Remove the
MAP
sensor from
the
air
cleaner
hous-
ing {page
5-77).
Temporarily connect the MAP sensor vacuum hose
and connector.
Disconnect
the
each cylinder
vacuum
hose from
the
5-way joint.
Connect the hoses
to
the vacuum gauge.
Connect the tachometer.
