connecting
rod
side
clearance.

clea rance exceeds the service
limit.

the connecting rod.
Recheck and

still
out
of
limit,
replace
the
crank-
shaft.
REMOVAL
Separate

he crankcase halves

Mark
the bearing
caps and bearings as you
remove
them
to
indicate
the
correct cylinder
for reassembly.
Be
careful notto
Remove the
connect
ing
rod
bearing cap nuts and
damage the
crank-
bearing caps.

side of the cap lightly

the bearing cap
is
