SPOOL VALVE OPERATION
The spool valve (solenoid valve) is placed in the eng ine V-bank, and it charges the oil passage from the oil pump to the
VTEC valve lifters.
When the spool valve is off, oil pressure from the main gallery is returned in the crankcase and the oil pressure has no
effect to the valve lifters.
When the spool valve is on, oil pressure reaches the valve lifter through the oil passage.
