Headlight Relay; Turn Signal Relay - Honda INTERCEPTOR 2002 Service Manual

HEADLIGHT RELAY
Remove the upper cowl (page 2-12).
Disconnect the headlight relay 4P connector, t hen
remove the headlight relay.
Connect the o hmmeter to the headlight relay con-
nector t erminals.
CONNECTION :
Hi beam relay: Blue/ black - Black/red
Low beam relay: White / black - Black/ red
Connect the 12 V battery to the following headlig ht
relay connector termina ls.
CONNECTION:
Hi beam relay : Blue- Green
Low beam relay: Blue/ white- Green
There should be no continuity o nly when t he 12 V
battery is connected.
If the continu ity is exist w hen the 12 V battery is
conn ect ed, replace t he headlight relay.
TURN SIGNAL RELAY
INSPECTION
1. Recommended Inspection
Check the f ollowing
- Battery condition
- Burned out bulb or non-specif ied wattage
- Burned fuse
- Ignition switch and turn signal swit ch func-
tion
- Loose connector
Check f o r t he above items.
Are the above items in good condition?
NO - Replace or repair t he faulty part(s)
YES - GO TO STEP 2.
