Install the pre-l oad adjuster onto the righ t passen-
ger footpeg bracket.
Install the distance collars and mounting bolts, then
tighten the bolts securely.
ABS rype only:
Install the rear fender (page 2-20).
Install the exhaust pipe (page 2-30) and muffler
(page 2-33).
SWING ARM
REMOVAL
Remove the fo llowing:
- Rear axle (page 14-6)
- Rear axle beari ng holder (page 14-10)
Remove the axle bearing holder pinch bolt and
brake hose guide.
Remove the shock link plate-to-swingarm bolt/nut.
Loosen the swingarm pivot pinch bolts.
