BA TIERY / CHARGING SYSTEM
ALTERNATOR COVER REMOVAl
Remove the following:
- Side cowl (page 2-8)
- Radiator reserve tank (page 6-17)
- Throttle body (page 5-63)
Disconnect the alternator 3P (Natural) connector.
Pull the alternator wire out of the frame.

The engine oil will run out when the alternator
cover is removed. Set a clean oil pan under the
engine and add the recommended oil to the speci-
fied level after installation.
Remove the gasket and dowel pins.
REMOVAL
Remove the socket bolt and stator wire holder.
Remove the alternator wire grommet fro m the alter-
nator cover.
Remove the torx bolts and stator.
