Install the fuel tank (page 8-49).
Connect the fuel level sensor u nit 2P (Blue) connec-
tor.
IGNITION SWITCH
INSPECTION
Remove the upper cowl (page 2-12).
Disconnect the ignition switch w ire 4P (Natural)
connectors.
LIGHTS/METERS/ SWITCHES
4P (NATURAL) CONNECTORE
Check for continuity between the wire terminals of

the ignit ion switch connector in each switch posi-
t ion.
Continuity should exist between the color coded
wires as follows:

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Remove t he top bridge (page 13-18).
Remove the bolts and ignition switch.
Insta ll the ignition switch in the revers e order of
removal.
Tighten the ig nition switch mou nting bolt to the
specified torque.
TORQUE: 26 N ·m (2.7 kgf·m, 20 lbf·ft)
