ONLY THE
FRONT
CYLINDER
CAM-
SHAFT WAS REMOVED:
Remove the rear cylinder head cover (page
8-6).
Turn
the crankshaft clockwise
and
align the "3T"
mark on the ignition pulse generator
rotor with
the
index mark
on
the right
crankcase cover.
Make
sure
the
index
lines on the rear cam sprockets
are
facing
outward.
If
they are
not,
turn the
crankshaft clockwise one full
turn (360°) and realign
the "3T" mark
with the index
mark.
Turn the
crankshaft clockwise
1-1/4 turn
(450°) and
align
the "4T"
mark on the
ignition
pulse generator
rotor with
the
index mark on the right crankcase
cover.
Install the front cylinder camshafts with the index
lines on the cam sprocket
faci
ng outward.
Install the camshaft holders following the same pro-
cedure as when both the front and rear camshafts
were removed (page 8-38).
