The cylinder head
gasket has an Iden-
tification mark. At
installation, install
each gasket in their
proper position.
Install the rear cam chain onto the t iming sprocket.
Install the rear cam chain guide and bolt.
Instal l the rear cam chain tensioner collar, tensioner
and bolt.
Tighten the cam chain g uide and cam chain ten-
sioner flange bolts to the specified torque.
TORQUE:
Cam chain tensioner flange bolt:
26 N·m (2.7 kgf·m, 20 lbf·ft)
Cam chain guide flange bolt:
12 N·m (1.2 kgf·m, 91bf·ft)
Install the front cam chain onto the t iming sprocket .
Install the front cam chain guide and bolt.
Install the front cam chain tensioner collar, ten-
sioner and bolt.
Tighten t he cam chain guide and cam chain t en-
sioner flange bolts to the specified torque.
TORQUE:
Cam chain tensioner flange bolt:
26 N·m (2. 7 kgf·m, 20 lbf·ft)
Cam chain guide flange bolt:
12 N·m
(1.2
kgf·m, 9 lbf·ft)
Install the gasket and dowel pins.
Install the oil t hrough collar and new 0-ring.
Install t he cylinder head onto the cylinder block.
Apply oil to the threads and seating surface of the 9
mm bolts/washers and install t hem.
Install the two 6 mm flange bolts.
Tighten the 9 mm bolts in a crisscross pattern in 2-
3 steps to the specified t orque.
TORQUE: 44 N·m (4.5 kgf·m, 33 lbf·ft)
Tighten the 6 mm flange bolts.
