MAINTENANCE
CLUTCH FLUID
I
NOTICE
•
Do not mix different types of fluid, as they are
not compatible with each other.
•
Do
not
allow
foreign material
to enter
the system
when filling
the reservoir.
•
Avoid spilling
fluid on painted, plastic or rubber
parts.
Place
a shop towel over these parts when-
ever the system is serviced.
When the flutd level
Turn
the
handlebar to the right so that the reservoir
ts low. check enttre
is
level
and check the
clutch
fluid reservoir
level
system for leaks
through the sight glass.
Firmly apply the clutch
lever,
and check that no air
has entered the system.
If the
lever
feels soft or spongy when operated,
bleed the
air
from
the
system.
Inspect
the clutch hose and fittings for deterioration,
cracks and signs of
leakage.
Tighten any loose fittings.
Replace hoses and fittings as required.

cedures.
SIDE STAND

Support the
motorcycle on a
level
surface.
Check the side stand spring for damage or loss of
tension.
Check
the
side stand assembly for freedom of
movement and
lubricate
the side stand pivot
if
nec-
essary.
