CYLINDER HEAD/VALVES
Install the camshaft holder A with the "IN" mark fac-
ing to the intake side.
Install the cam-
Install the "I" marked camshaft holder 8 onto t he
shaft holder B with
intake camshaft and the "E" marked camshaft holder

Apply clean engine oi l to the threads and seati ng
surfaces of the camshaft holder f lange bolts.
Install new sealing washers and fla nge bolts.
Tighten the camshaft holder A f lange bo lts in a
crisscross pattern in two or more steps unti l the
holder rests light ly on the cylinder head surface.
Tighten the cam-
Tighten the camshaft holder B flange bolts gradu-

Tighten t he camshaft holder A bolts to the specified
shaft holder bolts in
t orque, then t he camshaft holder B bolts.

TORQUE: 12 N·m (1.2 kgf·m, 91bf.ft)

Turn the crankshaft c lockwise and align the "3T"
mark on the ignition p ulse generator rot or with the
index mark on the right crankcase cover.
Make sure t hat the No.3 piston is at TDC (Top Dead
Center) on the compressio n stroke.
Recheck the rear cylinder va lve t iming.
