Make sure the
mdex lines on the
cam sprockets are
facmg outward and
are flush wtth the
cy/mder head.
Turn the crankshaft clockwise 1-1 /4 turn (450°) and
align the "4T" mark on the ignition pulse generator
rotor with the index mark on the right crankcase
cover.
Make sure the No.4 piston
is at TDC (Top Dead Cen-
ter) on the compression stroke.
CYLINDER HEAD/ VALVES
Apply molybdenum oil solution to the camshaft

journals of the cylinder head and camshaft holder.
Install the front cylinder intake and exhaust cam-
shafts with the index lines on the cam sprocket fac-
ing outward.
Install the front cylinder head camshaft holders fol-
lowing the same procedure as for the rear (page 8-
42).
Turn the crankshaft clockwise and align the "4T"
mark on the ignition pu lse generator rotor with the
index mark on the right crankcase cover.
Make sure the No.4 piston is at TDC (Top Dead Cen-
ter) on the compression stroke.
Recheck the front cylinder valve timing.
With the No.4 cylinder is at TDC, make sure the rear
cyli nder cam sprocket "!);· marks are fac ing outward
and flush with the top surface of the cylinder head.
